Receiving a fee for bad parking means that the way in which you parked a vehicle was a little risky. For example, the vehicle wasn’t parked next and in parallel to a wall (or other hindrances), it was obstructing access and could’ve posed danger to others, especially to disabled or visually impaired individuals.
Before charging fees, we always make sure to first guide riders on how to park and only refer to fees in cases of repeated violations of parking requirements. Check out this article to learn more on how to properly park the vehicle!
We take these actions as a part of our Parking Assistant system where we review parking photos to see how the vehicle was parked and assist riders on this important mission. Parking photos are also helpful for us in analysing parking challenges and improving our service and operations. In the end, our goal is to build a micro mobility infrastructure that is safe and inclusive for all.
Note: The parking fee is non-refundable.
