If a scooter slowed down during the ride, most likely you entered a slow or no riding zone. Those are places around the city particularly affected by traffic intensity. As soon as you enter a slow or no riding zone, the app automatically reduces your speed and in case of a No Riding Zone, fully stops the scooter. To see if you’re in a Slow or No Riding Zone, pull over and check the map in the app. You can read more about the different zones in this article.
Another reason for a scooter to slow down and stop can be a low battery. Once a battery reaches 10%, the scooter will gradually slow down until it runs out of battery completely. Our best advice for you here is to check the battery level before you start a long ride (planning is always a good idea!). Information about the battery level is displayed directly in the app. You can check it easily by tapping on a scooter’s icon on the map. So, if a scooter has less than 20% of battery and you're planning a long voyage, try looking for another one.
